Key Scripture: "For though the mountains should
depart and the hills be shaken or removed, yet My love and My kindness shall
never leave you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed,
says the Lord, Who has compassion on you.
Isaiah 54:10, Amplified.
Power Point:
Most of the words that God speaks about Himself describe the way He always is. He never stops blessing, loving, helping, or rewarding our faith. Those things are a continuous
action. If something is continual, it means that it continues without
interruption. It never stops.
I like the sound of "continuous action". When you really think about it, isn't
everything in the Christian Life a continuous action, or shouldn't it be? We are continuously cleansed. We are continuously forgiven. We have
continuous provision. We are continually led by the Holy Spirit. We continually walk by faith. We have continuous
access into the presence of God, our Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.
They live IN us, continuously.
They don't run away when things get tough and they don't ignore us when
we miss the mark. They continue to act
in love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness and
self-control. They continue to BE who
They've promised to BE; Savior, Friend, Father, Teacher, Lover of our souls,
Provider, Protector, and Rescuer and Deliverer.
There is never a moment in our lives that they do not want to be any one of those things for us, continuously. The Good News is that it doesn't depend on us, it depends on Their
continuous heart of Grace for us.
They continue to offer peace. They continually offer to
help. They continue to be Who They've
promised to be, and do what They've promised to do!
If that is true then shouldn't we RUN and not walk to be with them? If
you're cleansed continually you have no reason for guilt or condemnation, do you?
If you're forgiven before you ask, why not ask? If
They have a continual storehouse of heavenly provision. Have you asked for it? If there is One who loves you
without conditions, continually, then why not run into His arms? Why not be
blessed by the One who continually blesses and thinks about you? Why not hope?
Why not dream?
Why NOT? I can't think of one good reason!
Today is no different
than yesterday in terms of Who God wants to be for you. He doesn't change. His plans and His purposes for you are still
the same. He was there yesterday, He is
there for you today, and He will be there for you tomorrow. Everything about God is a continuous,
continuing action. His kindness
continues no matter what. His grace is
offered to you, no matter what. His
blessings continue to flow. Everything
about Him will continue throughout eternity.
You can count on that, continually.
