Key Scripture: "Let
us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of
grace-the throne of God's unmerited favor to us; that we may receive mercy (for
our failures), and find grace to help in good time for every
need-appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we
need it." Hebrews 4:16
Power Point:
Jesus can help. Isn't that the best part of the good
news that the angel shared that night? Isn't that the
point of the Gospel? Jesus can HELP
you. He wants to help you to have the power of His peace; to walk
on the water of your circumstances, and to live filled, not
empty. He's a Savior who saves people. He helps us to find
our way when we're lost and then He walks the way with us.
When we take what He has to offer, we
receive a blessing. From that moment on, we can live in the blessing of God's
presence, protection, provision and power working in us. We are never alone again. From that moment on,
we have a choice about our lives. The fact that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin is a good thing. It
means that we've been
delivered into a glorious heavenly kingdom where Love is the ruling
factor, and Perfect Love always reaches out to help.
Don't we need to understand that His heart for us is so humble and kind and that He wants to
exchange our weaknesses
for His strength; His peace for our chaos and His joy for our sorrow?
That's the Jesus
that people need to see, and Jesus will help us to be that person for them.
Do you have a
problem? Jesus can help.
Are you
discouraged and disappointed? Jesus can
help.
Is there
something you need? Jesus can help you.
And He wants to.
When Jesus was
born, the angels filled the heavens with songs of joy at this WONDERFUL thing that God had done. His promise was fulfilled. Our
hearts can be full of
that same spirit of rejoicing because our lives can now be filled with anticipation of His goodness and hope for the future
because we know that Jesus can help!
As you mediate
on the joys of Christmas today, remember that you have an extraordinary God, who
SO LOVES the world, that He wants to help them. He sent Jesus to do just that.
