Scripture: “I’ve prayed for you, that
your faith would not fail.” Luke
22:32
Power
Point:
Were you aware that heaven was busy on your behalf while you were
sleeping? Did you know that Jesus has
already anticipated your needs for today and has set His provision in motion
toward you? If Jesus prayed for Peter’s
faith to not fail, do you not suppose He is praying for your faith as well? Do
you not think that He is even more interested in the strength of your faith
than you are?
Why?
Because He’s the one who gave birth to your faith, and He intends to
finish it well. He is stewarding all the
power of heaven on your behalf today because He promised He would. He is intent
on blessing you. He is intent on the
Holy Spirit releasing revelation to you. He is intent on saying “Yes” to all
your requests.
We all have low times when our faith is being tested. But that’s the
point isn’t it? When we are believing for something from the Someone who is the
rewarder of our faith, then that faith will be tested, “until”, the answer
comes. If you think about it, Jesus knew
that Peter was going to deny Him, even as He offered him the cup and the bread
at His last supper with Him. He offered him forgiveness before he even needed
it. He offered him unconditional love before the betrayal even though He was
well aware that Peter was about to fall short in the faith department, and instead of condemning him, He prayed for him.
He does that for us too, Beloved. He has already prepared the way for
your day. He has already loaded it down
with BENEFITS! He’s already praying that
your faith will not fail. He’s already ready, willing and able.
When you awoke this morning, Jesus’s prayers were circling around you.
Throughout the day, throughout every
test, Jesus is surrounding you with His thoughts and His provisions. Tonight when you lay your weary head on your
pillow, He’s still enfolding you in His arms, and speaking life over you and to
you. He’s intent on bringing your life to a flourishing
finish. What He has begun, He will
complete, with a flourish.
Don’t give up on yourself and Beloved, definitely do NOT give up on Jesus. Remember Peter? Jesus knows what you’re thinking and He loves
you anyway. He’s even promised a
blessing following the blunder He sees in your future. He'll work it out for good, and, He’ll
use it to strengthen you and your brothers and sisters in Christ.
Isn’t grace amazing?

Thought:
Jesus is praying for you, right this
