Power of Preparation
Power Point:
As a Girl Scout, I learned the motto, “Be Prepared!". As a young mother, I soon learned that if I didn't prepare for the next day, our days could turn into mush! I can remember one Bible Study I did that told us that we should always "prepare a place” for the people in our lives. They taught us that every person in the family should know that they have a special seat at the table, a special room, or a special time with each other so that they feel connected and a part of the family.
It was good advice. Actually, I think Jesus gave us that advice first! In fact, He modeled it for us.
He promised that when we get to heaven, He would have prepared a place for us. We won't feel awkward, or feel that we don't fit in, because He's been thoughtful enough to make a special place for us. I'm pretty sure that mine will include things that I love here on earth; flowers, and trees, and all the people I loved here will all be together again.
Preparing a place is important. God is very organized! He has a plan. Right now, He is preparing you to take your place in the middle of His purpose for you. He's made all the preparations necessary and spoken all the words necessary for your success. He hasn't forgotten one tiny detail. You may be thinking you're out on a limb and ready to fall, but remember that God has already spoken and initiated His plans for you, and they are definitely being carried out.
He has more details to work out than you can imagine! But He's faithfully and diligently doing just that.
Hebrews says that Jesus is the High Priest of our confession. If we continue to confess our plans and not God's, our problems and not God's promises, that's what will happen. God cannot work out His best for us, if we're speaking doubtful, negative things. Is it possible that the delay in your life could be caused by what you are saying? What are you confessing that Jesus can pray over?
Is it time to turn the corner on your prayers and just begin thanking Him for what He has promised to do, even if you don't see it yet?
He has a prepared place and a prepared time and a prepared answer all ready for you. If you're still waiting, wait in praise, thanksgiving, and in rest. Choose to speak His promises over your answer, and know that when everything comes into alignment, you are going to absolutely going to love the answer He has for you. It will be beyond your expectations. And when you are living in the answer, you will be able to look back at the process and see what God was doing for you the whole time.
