Powering UP America!

     I’ve been reading in the book of Ezekiel lately.  One of the passages there has always touched my heart. God leaves His temple in Jerusalem. In chapter 10 it says that the “Glory of God filled the temple.” But it seemed that no one noticed. They forgot His address. Somehow they never come to speak with Him anymore. God decides that its time to move on. This is the part that breaks my heart every time I read it. He leaves in stages. First, He crosses the threshold of the temple. He pauses. No one is watching.  Then He moves to stand over the cherubim. He pauses. They don't notice.  He moves to the East Gate of The LORD’s house.  I believe that at each step of the way, God waited and looked to see if there was a man or woman among His people who would notice Him again, so that He could be strong on their behalf.

     Beloved, if you’ve ever read Ezekiel 37, the story of the valley of the dry bones, it is a picture of a nation without God. Has He forsaken them?  No. In fact, He descends again to speak to Ezekiel and tell him to prophesy to the dead bones that they will be filled. He tells Ezekiel to command the Holy Spirit to breathe His own life into them, and put the flesh back on their bones so they can become a mighty army again.

     Isn’t that where we are today? Don’t we need a fresh wind of the Spirit blowing over the army of God in this nation? Don’t we need a fresh realization of the power of God to bring about that which is above and beyond all that we can ask or think? Yes, Beloved, we do. So, declare that over yourself and your country today. Thank You Lord that because Your Spirit is in us, You never leave us or forsake us.  Thank You Lord that fresh winds of change, winds of life and not death are beginning to blow again. Thank You for blessing us and never cursing us. Thank You for the hope that is in us and for us.

Thank You for hearing us and answering our prayers of faith. We have not forgotten Your address. God is still in the house.

Power Prayer for America

Father, we thank You for honoring Your promises to us. You have promised us Life as You have it, power as You have it, plans as You’ve planned them, and hope to give us an extraordinary future. Thank You for the heavenly hosts that surround us today, in anticipation of responding to the words of the army of God; Fighting words, firm words of victory, and faithful words in anticipation of Your goodness to us.You've said that when we ask You alway answer.  Thank You for that.
