Scripture: “Abraham, when hope was dead within him, went on
hoping in faith, believing…with undaunted faith he looked at the facts, yet he
refused to allow any distrust of a definite pronouncement of God to make him
waver…He remained absolutely convinced that God was able to implement His own
promise. This was the “faith” that was accounted to him as righteousness.” Romans 4:17-20, Phillips
Power Point:
Okay, so the election didn’t go the way you thought it should. It’s still
working out for our good.
Yesterday, as I was talking to the Lord about it, the first thing He said
was, “STOP leaning to YOUR OWN understanding.”
(He’s mentioned that to me before.) "If you make me known in all your
ways, I will direct your paths. AND, I
AM directing your path."
Then He reminded me of
promises He had given me many years ago that I have had to “keep” remembering, declaring, and believing for.
Things that as I have been “faith-full” to “keep”, I now see coming to pass in
my life. This morning He reminded me of Sarah and Abraham. Wasn’t it 12 years
that they waited for Isaac? You would
think that at some point in all those years, Abraham would have begun to doubt
the promise of God, wouldn’t you. It seems that he didn’t. It seems that He continued
to believe when all hope was gone, when he couldn’t “see” with his eyes what
God had promised him. In fact, it seems that Abraham was SO focused on God that
he forgot to remember that what He had promised was impossible. He just “went on” in faith. Undaunted faith. He “refused to allow any distrust to make him waiver.” The path of Abraham’s faith is a divine
principle for us as well, isn’t it?
We are not to walk by sight but
by faith. We are to continue to believe
that God always has a better plan, a better idea. We are also to never forget that the Red Sea
was always intended to part so that God’s children could walk to freedom, a
perfect illustration of “NOTHING is impossible with Him.”
That faith in Him is what
will continue to move mountains. That
trust in His goodness is what will help the Body of Christ bring heaven to
earth. Even if things don’t look “good”, we have His promise that as we trust
Him, He is working it out for our good; just like Abraham and Sarah.
So, dig a little ditch and let Him fill it up with the water of His
presence, the hope of His promises, and the absolute glory of the goodness of
His plans. You have His word on it.
GOOD is in the process of working things out.
GOOD is in the process of working things out.

Prayer:
Plains of Abraham today. |
Father, You
reminded us in Malachi of how everyone was crying and grumbling and complaining, and You said You were tired of it. When
the people said, “What’s the use of serving God?” You said, “Enough!”
And then You
said that You wrote down the names of those who trusted You and spoke to each
other and listened to what You had said. I believe that Your children in
America, and even around the world today will not stop believing for miracles
and doubt Your possibilities. Let us make You proud today by our unwavering,
steadfast faith in You. Let our words make Your heart smile Father, as we “keep”
a tight hold on Your promises.
And let them
activate heaven on earth, even when we can’t see it.
Let Your truth
keep marching on!
In Jesus
Name. Amen!
