Power Of A PIece Of His Peace

Key Scripture:  "The fruit of the (Holy) Spirit, (the work which His presence within accomplishes), is love, joy, (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), faithfulness; (meekness, humility), gentleness, self-control, (self-restraint, continence).
Against such things there is no law that can bring a charge. ...
if we live by the Holy Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit-If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit."  Galatians 5:22,23,25
Power Point:
I've been having an interesting dialogue with The Lord over a phrase that I heard a few months ago. The phrase is: "a piece of the Peace".  He's been kind enough to show me that I am the proud owner of His peace, as are you.  Every day of our lives we will have an opportunity to offer to someone our "piece of His Peace".
His peace grows in us as we allow it to, and we can only give to others the amount of His peace that we possess. Some of us are missing our piece of His peace-but not to worry! He has a plan. His plan is for His peace to grow in us by His own Holy Spirit, our on-the-job representative of all that God wants to be for us. He is, after all, Perfect Peace. He tweaks and prunes and plants and transplants us until we begin bearing heavenly fruit. Fruit that remains.  Fruit that blesses and honors Him. Fruit that is based on the Peace that we have with him.
The only way that peace bears fruit in us Beloved, is when we abide in the Love of the Holy Spirit and release that love to bear His wonderful fruit in our lives. Love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithful and self-control are the fruit that He wants to remain.  It's the fruit that He wants to increase.  It's all about Him being bigger and better and more gloriously fruitful in us and through us. It's a piece of His peace that we all share.
When He prunes us, it is to make more room for His fruit to grow.  If you find yourself in an uncomfortable or tight situation right now, is it possible that the Holy Spirit is in the process of trimming off the bad fruit, and transplanting your roots into the good soil of His fruit?
Is there a relationship that you struggle with?
Is He giving you the choice of what you want to see growing in your heart?
Is your piece of His peace to be a Peacemaker?

"But what happens when we live God's way?  He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard-things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity.  We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people.  We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments. not needing to force our way in life, able to marshall and direct our energies wisely."  Galatians 5, The Message

Wouldn't that be a good goal for this coming year? For the rest of our lives?

Beloved, the fruit which His presence accomplishes in us and through us is Who He wants to be FOR us as well. When our lives are under His direction, our piece of His Peace will flourish in His hands, from His heart.  Every person in our lives is to be honored. Every person in our lives is a target for His kindness.  In fact, Romans 5 says that people will come to know Him by knowing how KIND He is. I know I did. The fruit of the Spirit is most evident in John 3:16 isn't it?  For God SO LOVED the WORLD that HE gave them Jesus, the epitome of Perfect Love. That's what He wants to continue to do through us.
The thing is, we can know Him, but not KNOW Him. We will never understand that Love that God has for us unless we allow the Holy Spirit to be fruitful in us, unless His peace bears fruit.
I love what The Message says in Galatians 5:.
"Since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the Spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or a sentiment in our hearts, but work out in implications in every detail of our lives."
My prayer for myself this year and for everyone I love, are these passages.  I'm preparing to be pruned and transplanted.
How about you?
Power Thought:
When people think of you, do they think of Peace? Or Joy?  Or Love?
Or kindness?
