Power Of Beholding Glory

Key Scripture:  Beholding as in a mirror connotes reflecting as well as “looking into”.  As we behold the glory of the Lord, we are continually transformed into the same image by the Spirit of the Lord.  We then with EVER INCREASING glory, reflect what we behold.”  2 Corinthians 3:18
Power Point:
So many times we behold our problems.  Or other people who cause our problems; or our shortcomings, or our sins, or our failures.
When we look in the mirror, we don’t see a lot of Jesus do we?
Could it be that we’ve been missing the mark?  Could it be that we are looking at the wrong thing?
When we do that, we truly become blind to all that Christ has done for us don’t we?  We can’t see ourselves, or our problems or situations covered with the blood of Jesus and connected to His resurrection power.
Sometimes when I look in the mirror in the early morning, I can see on my face what happened yesterday.  Sometimes that’s not a good thing! What I’ve learned to do is, determine to look at myself and my life in the same way that God sees it.  He sees me cleansed.  He sees me complete and whole. He sees Jesus in me. He sees potential and possibility!  So, I begin to agree with God that Jesus, the Savior, the Deliverer, the Healer, the Rescuer, The Prince of

Peace, The Comforter and His anointing are right there.  I agree with Him that His grace is sufficient for the day ahead and the days ahead.  I agree with Him that inside me there is a resurrection power transformation going on, and it’s getting bigger and bigger all the time.  I agree with Him that if I am IN Christ, He is in me.  And that’s a very good thing!
Sometimes my mirror is smudged and I can’t see clearly so I ask Holy Spirit to clean it up.  I ask Him to help me to see with my spiritual eyes and hear Him with my spiritual ears so that the glory of God, Jesus Himself, is breaking every yoke and anointing me with even more power and hope and faith than I had yesterday.
My Father thinks I look just like Jesus.  Can you see the resemblance?
Power Thought:

It’s all in how you look at it isn’t it?

Power Of Christmas

"Behold the virgin shall be with child and bear a Son,
and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is
                                  translated "God With Us".
                                          Matthew 1:23

GOD is here. He is not just "there"
GOD is with you because He is here.
GOD'S peace is here.
GOD'S love is here.
GOD'S joy is here.
GOD'S extravagant goodness is here.
GOD'S extraordinary generosity is here.
GOD'S power is here.
GOD'S victories are here.
GOD'S help is here.

THAT'S WHAT THE EXCITEMENT IS ALL ABOUT!

He's not just "there", He's here. He doesn't just live in heavenly places, He lives in the hearts of men who welcome Him.
                                              Welcome to my world Jesus!

That's really Good News isn't it?
                   It's the power of Christmas.

Power Of A Helpful God

Key Scripture:  "Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace-the throne of God's unmerited favor to us; that we may receive mercy (for our failures), and find grace to help in good time for every need-appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it."  Hebrews 4:16
Power Point:
Jesus can help Isn't that the best part of the good news that the angel shared that night?  Isn't that the point of the Gospel?  Jesus can HELP you. He wants to help you to have the power of His peace; to walk on the water of your circumstances, and to live filled, not empty. He's a Savior who saves people.  He helps us to find our way when we're lost and then He walks the way with us.
When we take what He has to offer, we receive a blessing.  From that moment on, we can live in the blessing of God's presence, protection, provision and power working in us. We are never alone again.  From that moment on, we have a choice about our lives.  The fact that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin is a good thing. It means that we've been delivered into a glorious heavenly kingdom where Love is the ruling factor, and Perfect Love always reaches out to help.
God is not sin conscious. He's already dealt with it.  He's not focused on the negatives. He is very positively focused on all that He wants to do for us, on how He can help. Isn't that the most important thing we need to know; the fact that Jesus is on our side- that He came to help?
Don't we need to understand that His heart for us is so humble and kind and that He wants to exchange our weaknesses for His strength; His peace for our chaos and His joy for our sorrow?
That's the Jesus that people need to see, and Jesus will help us to be that person for them.
Do you have a problem?  Jesus can help.

Are you discouraged and disappointed?  Jesus can help.
Is there something you need?  Jesus can help you. And He wants to.

When Jesus was born, the angels filled the heavens with songs of joy at this WONDERFUL thing that God had done. His promise was fulfilled.  Our hearts can be full of that same spirit of rejoicing because our lives can now be filled with anticipation of His goodness and hope for the future because we know that Jesus can help!

As you mediate on the joys of Christmas today, remember that you have an extraordinary God, who SO LOVES the world, that He wants to help them. He sent Jesus to do just that.

 Power Thought:

The JOY of Christmas is that God wanted to help us and He did. Will you receive His gift?

Power Of A Footstool

Key Scripture:  "Sit at My right hand, and share My throne till I make Your enemies a footstool for your feet."  Psalms 110:1
Power Point:
It's always nice to come away from a busy time and sit down in your favorite chair, prop up your feet and relax isn't it?  Did you know that Your Heavenly Father wants you to do exactly that?  He has a place prepared right next to Him. When He talks about "My right hand", He's talking about the place of His great power.  And that's where He wants you to curl up and relax and rest in Him.
In Colossians 3:1 He says, "IF you've been raised with Jesus (to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection) aim at and seek the (rich, eternal treasures) that are above, where Christ IS, seated at the right hand of God.  And set your minds, and keep them set on what is above, ( the HIGHER things-not on the things on the earth."  That's where you rest in HIS rest.  That's where what Jesus has done for you is seen in all its glory;  SEATED at the right hand of Your Heavenly Father;  Blanketed with the Truth  that sets you free.
In those early times of hand to hand, face to face conflict, the final demonstration of victory was to place your foot on your enemy's neck so that he could not rise up to fight you again.
When you are seated in heavenly places, Beloved, God has made your
enemy's neck a nice place to prop your feet.  The very picture of that is one of rest isn't it?
Satan likes to keep us stirred up.  He likes to make us think that he is
bigger and more powerful than our Father.  Beloved, YOU have been given a whole book filled with promises of hope for your future; of a victorious and abundant life.  In Hebrews 4, Holy Spirit tells us why the children of Israel had to march in the wilderness for forty years and were not able to enter the Land filled with promises for them.  It says, "The message that they HEARD did not benefit them because it was not mixed with faith (that leaning of the entire personality on God in absolute trust and confidence inn His power, wisdom and goodness).
I don't know what issues you are facing in your life right now but I do know this.  You have an all powerful, loving, Heavenly Father, who has given you His own Spirit to flow all of that "wonderful" into your life.  Jesus has put His foot on the neck of your enemy, whatever it is or whoever it is and has made him a place to prop your feet.
What is your enemy today?  Is it fear of the future?  Jesus has secured a wonderful future for you. His promises to you are the weapons of your rest. You might want to recite those promises as you prop up your feet.  Is your enemy a bad report from the doctor?  Jesus has placed His foot on the neck of that enemy too. He "took it upon Himself" so that you wouldn't have to.  Hearing that and mixing it with faith, enables you to prop up your feet.
So, dear one, today is a good day to come in from the cold, from the battles of your day, and remind yourself that you have the great privilege and opportunity to rest in the character, the promises and the victories of Jesus for you. Sit yourself down at your Father's right hand, right in the middle of His promises of power, and prop up your feet. I don't know about you but my very favorite place is right in the middle of the presence of My Father.  In that place, I am surrounded with fullness of joy because at His right hand, there is more power to help than I can dream of.
It's a good place to sit and prop up your feet isn't it?
Power Thought:
He has put all things under His feet. (Ephesians 2:22)
Is it time to put YOUR foot down?
