Power Of Steadiness

Key Scripture: "Have I not told you? Be strong (steady and firm) and of good courage. Do not be dismayed for the Lord is with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9
Power Point:
My dad loved to sail. Often I would hear the phrase, "Steady as she goes!" come out of his mouth.  It meant that the person at the helm would keep the boat steady in the winds and on the waters.
Steadiness is key to the Christian life isn't it?  Our faith cannot be strong one minute and weak the next.  When you remember the disciples in their little boat in a big storm, the last thing they felt was STEADY.  Then they saw Jesus, asleep at the back of the boat and remembered that He always brought peace to them.  They woke up the Prince of Peace and He calmed the storm. When He took over control of the boat, the storms obeyed Him. The waters and the winds that were threatening to sink them, responded to the authority of His peace. He steadied them, put them back in order, and they could continue their journey under the control of His steady peace.
Jesus never lost sight of who He was and what He had been chosen to do. He never lost sight of His purpose or His calling.  He walked through His life in steady peace, steady love, steady authority.  His gaze was always clear and unwavering. He had a steady hand. He was living proof that God was good and had good news for the world.
You may be experiencing a "storm" in your life today.  You might be tempted to shift your gaze from what Jesus has promised you, to the winds and the waves. Beloved, you have a heavenly Father who is firmly at the helm of your little boat.  You have a heavenly Friend who knows how to steady the ship.  You have all of God in you, in the steady presence of the Holy Spirit.  He's steadily fixed and firmly determined to strengthen you if you ask Him.  His gaze will not waiver.  His grasp will not loosen.  His job is to make you steady as you go.
All of His power, peace, and authority is in you right now in the Name of Jesus.  If you remember, the word ''hear" means to "see the Name".  Listen for the sound of His voice.  It will steady you. You can choose to SEE the Name, SPEAK the Name, and STEADY yourself by calling out all that is in you; to take authority over all that is around you.

You can be steady as you go!

Power Thought:

The steadiness of your faith reveals the steadfastness of the presence of Your God, and the steadfastness of His promises.

Power Of Loosing

Key Scripture: "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Matthew 16:19
"You stay grounded and steady in that bond of trust constantly tuned into the Message-careful not to be distracted or diverted."  Colossians 1:23
Power Point:
Probably the most important Truth about the Gospel is that all of God is in Jesus and all of Jesus is in us.  That means, of course, that everything of God is in you right now, if you are In Him.  You don't have to go frantically searching for peace, or joy, or patience, or faith anymore, when you allow yourself to understand that all of Jesus is in you, and all of you is in Him.
That's the key to operating in kingdom life, life as God has it.  When you invited Jesus to join you on your life journey, He gave you the keys to living that life successfully. When you bind yourself, tie yourself, unite yourself to God's plans for you and loose yourself from your own ideas and plans, you are saying, "God I know your will is good. I know You’ll keep Your word. And I know that in heaven You have already formulated good plans for me.  I want to bind myself to those plans."  Your agreement with God releases God to work out His will for you.
When you loose what is IN you already, you are releasing the fullness of the power and authority that Jesus died to give you.  When you say, "Jesus, I believe that IN you, I have IN me, the keys to open any door in the kingdom at any time.” You are loosing ALL of God and all of His provision for you.

Are you losing heart?  Have you lost your mind?  Were you thinking your life is a lost cause?
Allow me to encourage you.  You have, in Christ, in YOU, the power to be transformed and to transform your life.
Isn't it time to begin more loosing than losing?
Isn't it time to:
LOOSE your courage.
LOOSE your confidence.
LOOSE your faith.
LOOSE your power.
LOOSE your peace
LOOSE your God thoughts.  (After all, the mind of Christ is in you.)
LOOSE your self-control.  You're full of it.
LOOSE your  hope.
LOOSE your dreams.
LOOSE the LIFE of God in you, the same life, the same Spirit that Jesus had that resurrected everything He touched.
LOOSE the Words of God on your tongue
LOOSE the promises of God in your heart.

Whatever you loose will already have been loosed in heaven.

Isn't it time to stop being a loser and start being a looser!
Yes, Beloved, it is.

Power Thought:
“You received Christ Jesus, the Master, now live Him”.  Let Him loose, in you.

The Power of The Father's Blessing

The Power of The Father's Blessing
Key Scripture:  "And God blessed them saying, "Be fruitful and multiply..."  Genesis 1:22
Power Point:
God is the original "Blesser".  It is His nature to bless and not curse.  In our society today we seem to be sadly lacking in blessings don't we? Yet in our hearts there is a place created in us, that desires to be blessed.  Our words from our mouths either bless or curse.  As representatives of the heart of our Heavenly Father those words are to bring life and open the pathway for someone to walk in the plans and purposes of God. It really does matter.
Recently, I was watching an episode of "Dreams and Mysteries", with John Paul Jackson. He goes into detail about the purpose and the importance of the Blessing of Father God in our lives. I've included the blessing that he prayed and the link to the program.
I bless each of you with it and I pray that you will use it to bless others in His Name.

The Father's Blessing
John Paul Jackson

"Some of you did not have great father figures.  Some of you had fathers who passed away before they could give you a blessing.  Others of you, for one reason or another, are unable to receive a blessing from your father to you.  I want to offer the blessings of the Heavenly Father through myself, an earthly father.
This type of blessing is seen in Numbers 6, as God blessed the children of Israel under the pronouncement of Moses.  It goes on to say that upon saying the blessing, God would place His name upon and bless those who hear it. That means you.

                               Therefore, may "The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face to shine upon you
                                                      and be gracious to you;
The Lord  lift up His countenance upon you
                                                      and give you peace.

And from me: (JPJ)

May you reach the purpose for which you were created.
May you have courage above your peers.
May you have more passion for the things of God
                                             than others think is necessary.
May you dream more than others think is practical,
and may you expect more than others think is possible

May you choose wisely without earthly bias.
You have people to influence that you've not yet met.
You have lives to change that are waiting for your arrival.
You are strategically placed wherever God takes you by His grand design
just so you can become everything He made you to be.
That place is the place you can best grow,
                                             the place where you can be most fruitful;
The place where the future is changed because of your presence.

May you see vistas that others don't even know exist.
May you see God in every petal of every flower
and every blade of grass, for each of them are designed by His hand.

                                             May you bless your children,
and may they become giants in the faith
under the mighty hand of God.
                                                       You will not fail.

You were made by God to be here- for such a time as this."

Power Of A Hearing Heart

Key Scripture: “Faith comes by hearing…”  Romans 10:17
Power Point;
In 1 Kings 3, Solomon is taking a nap and the Lord appears to him in a dream. “And God said, “ASK!  What shall I give you?”  In other words, “Ask me anything My son, it’s already yours!”  What was Solomon’s response?  Give to me a hearing heart.”  That’s it?  He could have asked God for anything and yet he just wanted to have the ability to hear the voice of God? Scripture says that the Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked Him for this one thing. He definitely had his priorities in order.
Did you know that in the Hebrew language, the word “hear”, means “shema”, to “see the Name”?  It doesn’t mean to simply hear the words going into your ears, it means to hear, to understand and obey. Solomon asked for a hearing heart.  He was asking God to give him a heart that understood Truth and then became obedient to walk in that truth.
Hearing is more than just listening. It's sort of like asking your children if they cleaned their rooms. "Yes mom, I HEARD you."  But they didn't do anything about what they heard.  How many times have you heard someone say, “Well I heard God say that but I don’t see it happening in my life”.  A good question to ask is not if what God spoke into your ears was wise but whether or not that person heard it over and over and over again and obeyed what they heard.
Beloved, God has already given you His name. He has already chosen to give it to you. It is gloriously full of all that He is and wants to be for you. If you have heard the voice of Jesus, but are still struggling with the Truths He is speaking to you. Is it possible that you need to hear those truths more often? Is it time to trust and obey what you've heard?  Is it time to see The Name? Ephesians or Colossians might be a good place to explore that.
To hear, understand and obey are all basic requirements of faith aren’t they?  Our faith grows because we hear the Words of Christ.
“Faith comes by hearing.” The interesting thing isn’t that you were never intended to hear it just once.  “Hearing” in Hebrew means that you hear it over and over and over again.  It’s funny that I had been thinking about this and then yesterday I heard a preacher say those very words. Then this morning in an email it said exactly the same thing again; over and over and over again. I decided to listen.
When you hear a good sermon that really speaks to your heart, buy the CD and listen to it over and over and over again.  If you read something that blesses you, print it off and put it somewhere where you will see it over and over and over again. Those words are meant to change your direction or encourage your direction.  They’re meant to be meditated on over and over and over again. Those words are part of God's plan for your success.
Don’t ever forget that the Words that that Christ speaks are powerful and alive and full of energy. If you don’t have anyone to speak them to you, speak them to yourself.  You just might be the best preacher you know!

Power Thought:
A hearing heart is absolutely the best thing to ask of a God who has promised you everything. Listen UP!
