Power Of The "NEW" Man

Key Scripture:  “But now, put all these things behind you…for oyou have finished with the old man and all he did and have begun life as the new man, who is out to learn what he ought to be, according to the plan of God.”  Colossians 38-11
Power Point:
Just Say “NO!” to anxiety.
Just say “NO! to worry.
Just say “NO!” to unkindness.
Just say “NO!” to impatience.
Just say “NO!” to doubt.
Just say “NO!” to unbelief.

-You can also just say “NO!” to lacking faith, or lacking provision, or lacking anything in your life. Why? Because God has already said “YES!” to providing anything and everything you need.
-You can also say “NO!” to fear of the future, or fear from the past, or fear for your life. Why?  Because God says He has good plans to give you a good and a hopeful future.
-You can also say “NO!” to strife and anger and discontent. Why? Because you have the seeds of Jesus’s peace planted in you ready to be watered and to flourish.
-You can also just say “NO!” to wallowing in a bad situation,  and living in the bottom of the pit. Why? Because God promises that He will turn every single uncomfortable, intolerable thing into a good thing on the way. Every one.
-You can also say “NO! to grief and sadness. Why? Jesus took it for you on the cross. He offers you peace and rest and comfort. Yes. A good thing.
What is it that you are lacking, or fearing, or angry about today? Isn’t it time to bring all the “new” that Jesus has given you out into the light? Isn’t it time to let the light of God shine in the darkness?
When you asked Jesus to become your Savior, He saved you fully. All of His power, His authority, and His love, and His compassion came to rest in your heart. It’s in seed form. You get to nurture it, explore it, water it and watch it grow.  Or not. You can stay the same as you were before or you can change your life and choose life.
I love going shopping and picking up something “new” don’t you?  I love the feeling of knowing that when I walk out the door I have on something "new” that makes me feel special.  Each of us has a whole “NEW” outlook on life that we can put on that will bring more and more life for us.  Each of us has a choice about putting on the “new” man with the “new” attitudes or we can leave them in the closet.
What will you wear today?  Will you dress for success in the kingdom?
Power Thought:
Isn’t it time to get passionate about all the “new” things available to you?

"There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things."
Niccolo Machiavelli
