Power Of Charging

Key Scripture:  "This day The Lord will deliver you into my hand and I will strike you and take your head from you...that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. ...And David ran toward the army to meet the giant."  
1 Samuel 17:46-48

     As believers, we don't just change the atmosphere, we charge right into it.

I remember when King David went to take food to his  brothers and he heard the giant filling the atmosphere with boasts about how he was going to kill anyone who came against him. David didn't just meekly stand by and let the giant roar.  He charged to the front of the army and roared back the same challenge to Goliath. He changed the atmosphere, and he charged it with the power of God to defeat giants.

     Then there is the story of Job.  We all know how depressing his atmosphere must have been!  It was charged with fear and then everything else the devil could throw at him. Then suddenly Job encounters the one true God and everything is changed in him.  He asks for God's forgiveness and then begins to charge his atmosphere with prayers for the friends who had been less than helpful. God heard those prayers and answered them.  He charged Job's atmosphere with a fresh load of blessings above and beyond anything he had had before.

     We're called, as God's children to change the atmosphere around us, and around others by charging into it with faith in Who God is, and What He has promised to do.  His promises are the foundation for our ability to do just that. Your faith, your assurance that God will, is the "plug in" to heavenly electrical power.  We are called to see the provision of God, in advance of what we  see with our eyes.  Then we are called to plant that provision, those promises, deep within the atmosphere around us.  We speak what God has spoken.  We believe what God has said.

And we release heaven on earth.

    One of my favorite verses in the Bible is in The Message in Mark 16:19,20:

"Then the Master Jesus, after briefing them, was taken up to heaven, and he sat down beside God in the place of honor. And the disciples went everywhere preaching, the Master working right with them, validating the Message with indisputable evidence."

     Don't you love the thought that when you speak what God says, Jesus is right there beside you working in partnership with you to validate the words you speak with indisputable evidence. Yes!

     That's a game changer, and an atmosphere charger. It means that no one can argue with the signs and wonders that God will do to support you.  Are you letting the "giant" in your life roar without confronting him? Is it time for you to charge into your situation with the promises and possibilities of God and watch the atmosphere change?

Of course it is. Just do it! For heaven's sake.
