Power Of Underestimating God

Key Scripture:  ”God can do anything, you know-far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!”  Ephesians 3:20, The Message
Power Point:
Amazing. I sit here amazed at the goodness and wisdom of God.
Nearly twenty years ago, God had given me a “game plan”.  I’ve shared it with you before but here it is again.  He said, (at one of the lowest times of my life), “Remember My faithfulness, anticipate My goodness, and return to the Source of your joy.” That pattern has become a vital focus in my life. Recently He told me this:  “You’re getting pretty good at “anticipating My goodness”, but you still underestimate it.”
Wow.
How about you? Are you guilty of underestimating the goodness of God over your life?  Probably.  What if you began to deliberately and consistently expect God to do more than He said He would do? What if you took the limits off of His power to fulfill your dreams, or heal your body, or bring the changes for the things that need to be changed?
What if you began to refuse to doubt His goodness, for you?
What if you began to declare and believe that the God who created the world probably can do more than you can imagine in your life?
What if you begin to believe that this glorious God of ours, who continually thinks from a place of generosity, liberality, abundance, or as the Scripture puts it, “infinitely beyond our highest prayers”? What if you allowed Him the exercise of your faith to do just that?
Don’t we hold too tightly to our plans and dreams so that there is no way for God to get involved? We need to change that don’t we? We need to think differently, think higher, and stop underestimating our Father’s goodness for us and to us.
My son, David was in a work “prison” for a few years recently. He was Joseph personified; but he was faithful. He struggled at times but he trusted God too.  In the last year he has been transplanted by God into a new company where he has the freedom to exercise all the skills that God has given him in any way he wants to. This wonderful company even encourages its employees to be part of some kind of charitable work. That’s David’s heart, his dream. He is deeply involved with an organization called, “Feed My Starving Children”, and through his work, he is now able to expand his involvement and have his company’s blessing. Who DOES that? God does. He has gone above and beyond David’s wildest dreams. He is so blessed. And so are the starving children.  Thank You Jesus. They were hard years but all the time he was "digging ditches" for God to fill.
Why don’t you ask Him today if there’s an area where He wants to super-abound in your life? And then give Him the opportunity to prove it, above and beyond your wildest dreams.

Power Thought:
Dreaming with God is an incredible journey of life.  You can never underestimate the dreams He has for you. Surprise!
